Transferrable Skills - Supply Chain Awareness Courses

Improving understanding of supply chain careers and creating an image for the supply chain and logistics industry that aligns with the transformational change of the last decade, is key to attracting the next generation of supply chain professionals.

The Transferable Skills Course – is a professional development course offered to non-supply chain personnel within the sponsor companies, opening their eyes and encouraging them to consider transitioning into supply chain and logistics operations. It has been designed to be informative, engaging and interactive. The aim is to help transition talented staff into exciting operational roles thereby supporting gender diversity, staff retention and career development.

Supply Chain Awareness Course – delivers face-to-face/online sessions into targeted community organisations, linking unemployed and under-employed women, career changers, career advisers, students, and graduates into new supply chain logistics career opportunities. This course provides insights into supply chain, how the sector is evolving and how it responds to modern challenges. Collaboration is fundamental to supply chain business, and the skills and characteristics often seen as being typically ‘female’ are especially beneficial to modern supply chain operations. The ability to effectively negotiate and work with multiple stakeholders – whether internally within the company, or externally between trading partners is fundamental to smooth and efficient supply chain management.
